Obama’s Fayetteville visit not open to public

UPDATE: 12:49 p.m.
According to the Cumberland County Democrats Web site, Sen. Barack Obama’s visit to Fayetteville Wednesday will not be open to the public, and no space will be available. His trip to Charlotte later Wednesday is soldout.
Published reports say the Illinois Senator and Democratic presidential candidate will speak at the Tony Rand Student Center at Fayetteville Technical Community College.
The Herald will have complete details on the visit in tomorrow’s edition, including comments from local Democrats, and we will be in Fayetteville to cover his speech as well.

  1. That’s too bad. I would have liked to have seen him speak and take the kids. But I figured it wouldn’t be open to the public, or sold out(or too expensive).

It’ll be interesting to see the feedback following his recent speech that has received so much press.
