I’ve been chosen.
If you’ve read my past posts, you know what that means. So I can’t say anything else about it.
But here’s what I CAN say:
• If you factor in the flu I had Friday, Saturday and Sunday and my new “duty” Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, I’ve been a NON-factor at work and home the past week. It’s like a week of my life has been ripped from my pages. It’s driving me crazy. Plus, I’m sleepy. Help.
• Brett Favre really was a great quarterback. Even though he NEVER won a game in Dallas, I can now say — since he’s out of the league — he’s one of the Top 5 quarterbacks of all time. And I can say that without my wife sticking her tongue out at me.
• We started a puppy class for Miles on Bon-Clyde in Sanford. Go to Jennifer’s blog to read more about it. I think it’s going to be an adventure, but a fun one.
• The other night, HBO showed Empire Strikes Back in HD, and it was the first Star Wars film I’d ever seen in Hi-Def. This really makes me wonder when Star Wars will go Blu-Ray, and when they do, I wonder if I’ll buy the complete set (since I already have most of the complete set on VHF and THE complete set on regular DVD).

New Herald blogger
Irene Harvley-Felder is not new to Sanford, but she is new to The Herald and now she has her very own little home on the Web.
Visit irenefelder.wordpress.com to see her blog. Irene is currently a Herald correspondent who’s contributed well to our Carolina section and the occasional front page feature. She’s a talented writer with a background in blogging (she had one while serving with the Peace Corps in Nambia).
We’re glad to have her on board.
