I’d make fun of this, but personally, I agree with her. If we and South Africa did get together, more U.S. American children kids would be able to read a map.

I thought it was interesting that, in light of the “other” Americas – Canada and Mexico – she was actually correct in differentiating our “U.S.” America from theirs.
It was painful to watch, but it sounds like she is taking it with a grain of salt and not letting it get her down. I say, “Good for her,” for not letting an embarrassing moment ruin her life.
